Betvictor allows 10p bets on the entirety of its sports book, meaning you have access to thousands of potential markets to try. The site is also very well laid out and extremely intuitive and friendly, making this one of the best options for those only willing to bet small amounts such as 10p.

Betvictor’s flexibility on minimum bets means that you can bet small amounts initially if you wish, and top up later. This is particularly useful on ‘in play’ betting, as there’s always the possibility to ‘lock in’ your winnings if things are going your way. Ways Of Placing 10p Bets Online

There are two ways to bet at such low amounts. The first is the conventional way using one of the sites listed above. The second is to use a betting exchange such as BetFair to place a ‘lay’ bet at high odds (a lay bet is when you’re taking a bet as opposed to making a bet).

1) Conventional 10p bets are where a bookmaker allows bets using very small stakes. These however are quite rare and many bookmakers have minimum limits such as a pound, and two pounds per bet in some cases. Others, such as Betvictor have very low limits, meaning you can place small amounts to your hearts content.

2) Laying at BetFair is where you bet against a certain outcome. The minimum bet at BetFair is usually £2, but if you’re placing a lay bet on something that has high odds, the effect is that your exposure is very low. Take a football match for example that is in the 90th minute with one team leading 1-0. It’s very likely that team will win, so the odds ‘against’ the win are high, sometimes up to 100/1. If you lay a £10 bet at this price (in other words matching someone who has bet £10 on the win), then your exposure is only 100th of £10, which is 10p. If the opposing team equalise before the end of the game you win £10. If they don’t, you lose your 10p exposure.

Note: limits have been lowered at most online bookmaker so the above Betfair method is now somewhat obselete!.
